Jamshedpur, : An Inter-School Safety Quiz Competition was organized by Safety Awareness for Everyone (SAFE) club in Kudy Mahanty Auditorium today. Total 63 teams from 21 schools participated.
The session was graced by SAFE Chairperson Mrs Ruchi Narendran and Chief, Safety, Tata Steel Mr Neeraj Kumar Sinha. There was a screening round post which 6 teams made it to the finals.
After 5 rounds of Final quiz competition, KPS Kadma, Loyola School and Vidya Bharati Chinmaya Vidyalaya were the winner, 1st runners up and 2nd runners up respectively. The Final round of quiz was conducted by quizmaster Mr E G Khan.
In her welcome address, Mrs Narendran stressed upon inculcating safety culture among children from schools, how to find value in safety habits and how to make it a way of life. Mr Neeraj Sinha briefed the activities of SAFE in FY 23 and meticulously explained the importance of road safety and cyber safety. Ms Mom Mitra, Convenor SAFE and Manager Safety Tata Steel hosted the sessions. The quiz contest was a very engaging one with lot of audience questions engaging SAFE coordinators and participants. A Nukkad Natak was also presented by students of NML KPS as safety pause.
SAFE is a conglomerate of 33 schools chaired by Mrs Narendran and is dedicated for spreading awareness of safety amongst school children. It also supports schools in mock drills, fire audits and training for basic life support.
