Celebrating AKAM: Ek Bharat Shrestha Bharat Jamshedpur Women’s University hosted a five days long students exchange programme. The varsity left no stone unturned to make the students of Goa and the faculty members to get acquainted with the richness and rich culture of jharkhand. This five day long programme concludes with a closing ceremony on 9th December 2022 at Kudy Mahanty Auditorium, Kadma , Jamshedpur. The closing ceremony was privileged and honoured to have Sri Chanakya Choudhary, Vice President, Corporate Services, Tata Steel Ltd. as its Chief Guest. Hon’ble Vice Chancellor Prof.(Dr.) Anjila Gupta presided the ceremony. Dr. Keya Banerjee presented the Welcome address. Sri Chanakya Choudhary in his address expressed his happiness over the fact that JWU added value to Jamshedpur by organising this Students exchange programme. He also expressed that students of Goa must carry with them the historical richness of Jamshedpur. Hon’ble Vice Chancellor Prof.(Dr.) Anjila Gupta expressed her gratitude to Tata Steel for all their support to make this programme a success. She appreciated this scheme of Ek Bharat Shrestha Bharat which according to her would promote brotherhood among the citizens of India by knowing each others culture and realise how great India Culture is. She expressed her desire to commence course in Corporate studies with a partnership with Tata Steel. She expressed her wish to start up Engineering Courses under University Corporate linkage and also other job oriented courses like Nursing. She expressed her pleasure over the successful completion of this programme and wished good for the students from Goa. She stressed that India is Great (Shrestha) as it is one (Ek). Vote of thanks was delivered by Dr. Prabhat Singh, Registrar JWU to all who contributed for this successful programme.
The programme came to a success with the tireless effort of Dr. Kiswar Ara, Dean Student Welfare, Coordinator of this programme Dr. Shweta Prasad, Nodal Officer of this programme, Dr. Keya Banerji, Assistant Professor Business Administration Department, Sri.Amitabh Ghosh, Founder Biponi, Dr. Hassan Imam Mallick, Manager Tata Sports and other officials of Tata Steel, Team members of this programme. All teachers and students of JWU were also present in the ceremony along with the students and faculty members from Goa.
