Jamshedpur: Bajrang Dal and Kesri Youth Seva Sangh (KYSS) activists on Tuesday played spoilsport as they have driven away love birds celebrating Valentine day at Jubilee Park in Bistupur here.
Dozens of Bajrang Dal and KYSS activists entered the Jubilee Park and chased away some youths celebrating the Valentine day with their girl friends in the park.
The saffron activists also punished some youths and forced them for sit-ups before letting them off with a warning.
We are not oppose to Valentine day till over 40 CRPF jawans were martyred in Pulwama terrorists act in Jammu and Kashmir on this day in 2019, an activist of KYSS said.
We have been observing the day as black day since the Pulwama incident, he claimed adding that today was a day to pay our respect to the jawans and condemn the cowardice act of terrorists in Pulwama.
One can express his/her love and affection round the year in different manner but February 14 should be observed as black day as over 40 jawans were killed in terrorists attack on this day in 2019.
Meanwhile, East Singhbhum district police has made adequate security arrangement to prevent anti-Valentine day forces and deputed police force to maintain law and order.
