Jharkhand :Court awards death sentence to five in West Singhbhum

Chaibasa (Jharkhand) : Five persons have been sentenced to death by the court of Principal District and Session Judge, Chaibasa in West Singhbhum in connection with over a year-old triple murder case occurred in Bandgaon police station jurisdiction.
Delivering the judgement, the Judge held  Markas Dahanga, Iliyas Dahanga, Kemba Dahanga, Daud Dahanga and Iliyas Dahanga alias Banka Banku responsible for the incident under sections 302/201/120(B) and 34 IPC and awarded death penalty to them for brutally killing the throats of Salim Dhanga, his wife Belangi Dahanga and their daughter Rahil Dahanga in Podongair village under Bandgaon police station limit on 8th November, 2011.
The accused had then buried the bodies on the river bed of Karo river with an intention to hide the evidences.

Police, however, had recovered the bodies in course of investigation after a case was registered in this connection on 10th November, 2021.

The judgement was delivered on the basis of evidences collected scientifically and filed a chargesheet subsequently in the court.
