Seraikela (Jharkhand): A 21-year-old youth was arrested within 24-hour after he abducted a minor girl from Sini outpost police station limit in Seraikela-Kharswan district, a police officer today said.
The accused Bablu Ansari was arrested and the minor girl rescued from Hensal under Rajnagar police station within 24-hour after a complaint in this regard was registered by the victim’s mother.
The complaint named Bablu Ansari, a resident of Kamalpur, for abducting her daughter.
On the directive of Superintendent of Police Anand Prakash, a team led by the In-Charge of Sini outpost police station was formed to apprehend the accused and for safe release of the victim.
In course of the investigation and with the help of technical cell of police, the team conducted raid in Hensal in Rajnagar police station and arrested Bablu Ansari.
Police also rescued the girl, who was handed over to her family.
The accused and the victim girl were living in rented house in Hensal.
Bablu Ansari was forwarded to judicial custody.
The incident was suspected to be a case of love affair.
