Jamshedpur: The sleuths of Enforcement Department today conducted in some premises of Chief Engineer of Rural Development Special division in Jamshedpur.
The raid was being conducted to ascertain disproportionate moveable and immovable property allegedly accumulated by the Chief Engineer Virendra Kumar Ram.
The raids, which began since morning, were being conducted in three places in the steel city including two residences in Mango and an official residence in Circuit house area.
However, ED did not yet confirm the raid.
A eight-member team was involved in the process at Ram’s residence.
Ram was at his residence when the team reached.
In 2019, around two crores had been recovered from his place in 2019 election.
Anti-Cortuption bureau (ACB), Jharkhand had caught a junior engineer accepting 10,000,/- from a contractor. When ACB raided the residence of Verma, when Rs.2.68 crores was recovered. The amount allegedly belonged Ram.
Meanwhile, ED raid was still on.
