Jamshedpur: Preparation to mark the 184th birth anniversary of Jamsetji Nusserwanji Tata, the founder of private steel major Tata Steel and Tata Sons” was going on war footing in the Steel City of Jamshedpur.
Hundreds of workers were seen engaged in cleaning and decorating the roads, buildings whereas the entry in the Jubilee Park in the heart of the city was prohibited for some days for the purpose.
All the roundabouts in Bistupur, Sakchi, Sonari, Tata Steel Utilities and Infrastructure Services Limited Office were being decked up for the mega event.
Apart from Jubilee Park and roundabouts, Tata Steel General Office building are being illuminated specially for the occasion.
The main event of the Founder’s day is scheduled to be held in Tata Steel works and public address by top Tata Group officials including Tata Steel will be held in postal park in Bistupur.
Tata Sons Chairman Emeritus Ratan Tata, Chairman N Chandrasekaran, Tata Steel CEO and MD T V Narendran are likely to address the citizens of the steel city on 3rd March.
Several events including medical camp, sports activities are lined up for the occasion, which draw people from Jharkhand and adjoing Odisha and West Bengal to have a glimpse of specially Jubilee Park.
