The second edition of the Jamshedpur Golden Baby League 2023, hosted by Jamshedpur FC in conjunction with Jharkhand Football Association (JFA) and Jharkhand Sporting Association (JSA) kicked into a higher gear in its second week at the Archery Ground at JRD Tata Sports Complex and was another major success.
Similar to the first week, the players were in action in the U5, U7, U9, U11 and U13 categories.
The 10-month long tournament is expected to incorporate over 100 teams, with grassroot football schools affiliated with Jamshedpur FC such as Loyola School, Carmel School and Hill Top School and others, as well as more teams from across the city being represented.
Week two of the tournament featured four teams from the U5 category, and two teams each from the U7, U9, U11 and U13 categories, all involved in action across different pitches set up across the archery field at JRD Tata Sports Complex.
Five players from the JFC Youth Team (TFA) were on hand to officiate matches across the different categories in the league, while trained medical personnel were available to assist wherever required. Refreshments were provided to the participants as well as to their parents during the course of the event.
The league will be hosted at the Archery Ground at JRD Tata Sports Complex every Sunday for 10 months, with new venues expected to be added as the season goes on.
