Chaibasa (Jharkhand): The court of Principal District and Session Judge, West Singhbhum district, today sentenced a woman to life imprisonment for killing her husband in Muffasil police station in 2017.
The court of Principal District and Session Judge, Vishwanath Shukla has delivered the judgement under section 302 IPC (murder) and sentenced the convict Anita Kumari alias Anita Singh for killing her husband Rajeev Kumar Singh, a resident of Dayalpur under Kahalgaon police station in Bhagalpur district of Bihar on 25th January, 2017.
After committing the crime, Anita had hanged the body of Rajeev against a hook fixed in the ceiling.
Anita had killed Rajeev, a railway employee, as she had wanted to get the job on compassionate ground.
A case in this regard had been registered against Anita with Muffasil police station.
In course of the investigation, police had arrested her and filed the chargesheet after collecting evidences scientifically.
Based on the evidences, the judge sentenced her to life imprisonment and also slapped a fine of Rs.10,000/-.
