Ranchi: Tha Chairman (India & South Asia) and Managing Director (India) of leading bearing manufacturer of the world “Timken India Limited”, Sanjay Kaul and the treasurer of USA Canton Foundation, Henry H Timken today met Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren in his chamber in the State assembly in Ranchi.
During the meeting, Kaul apprised the Soren about the development work being carried out by the company and its social wing Timken Foundation in Jharkhand for the welfare of adivasi community.
Highlighting the development work undertaken by Timken India Limited and Timken Foundation in tribal areas in the vicinity of steel city of Jamshedpur, they said Timken India Limited has built several schools and colleges.
Besides, they also discussed about further development of adivasis in other districts of the state.
The officials assured the Chief Minister to participate in the development of the state as well as adivasis living in the state.
They have also expressed their willingness to explore potential for the development of the tribals and discussed in detail about the proposal to set up Mahua Flower Institute and National Institute of Ethnomedicine in Jharkhand.
The Chief Minister assured that government would extend all possible assistance in this regard.
A former Chairman of the State Women Commission and Founder of Torang Trust Dr. Vasavi Kiro was present on the occasion.
