Jamshedpur: Tata Steel UISL has been conferred with the “Excellence in Consistent TPM Commitment” Award from Japan Institute of Plant Maintenance (JIPM) in a prestigious ceremony held on 21st March 2023 at Kyoto, Japan. Dhananjay Mishra, Sr General Manager, Jharkhand Business, Aman Chodha, General Manager, HR/IR and Corporate Services, V P Singh, General Manager, Power Services Division and Chandradibakar Roy Barman, Sr Manager, Business Excellence represented Tata Steel UISL and received the award on behalf of the company.
Only 18 companies globally have been bestowed this honour, out of which 11 companies are from China, one each from Peru, Japan and South Africa and four from India including Tata Steel UISL.
The company started its TPM Journey from October 2018 with consultants from Japan Management Association Consultants. Despite of disturbances brought by Covid, the company sustained its TPM Journey under the guidance of Mr Ishibashi San and Mr Surajit Deb and challenged the TPM Level 2 Award while working on rigorous assessments conducted by Mr. Sugiura San and Mr. Takano San from JIPM.
