Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi today launched Rozgar Mela – the recruitment drive for 10 lakh personnel through video conferencing. During the ceremony, appointment letters were handed over to 75,000 newly inducted appointees at 50 places across the country. Rozgar Mela was held at Kharagpur and Ranchi over South Eastern Railway jurisdiction to hand over the Appointment Letters to the newly inducted recruits. Addressing the appointees, the Prime Minister started with greetings and best wishes for Dhanteras. “Today marks the day when a new link in the form of Rozgar Mela is being anchored to the employment and self-employment campaigns in the country that are going on for the last 8 years”, he said. The Prime Minister said that keeping in mind the 75 years of independence, the central government is giving appointment letters to 75,000 youngsters under a programme.
In the Rozgar Mela held at Kharagpur, total 220 Appointment letters were handed over to the newly inducted recruits for different posts in various Ministries and Departments including Railways, Post, Education etc. Shri Nisith Pramanik, Hon’ble Union Minister of State, Ministry of Home Affairs and Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, Dr. Sukanta Majumdar, Hon’ble MP, Shri Dilip Ghosh , Hon’ble MP, Shri Hiranmoy Chattopadhyaya, Hon’ble MLA, were present during the ceremony. Md. S. Hashmi, Divisional Railway Manager, Kharagpur, welcomed the distinguished guests and the new recruits on the occasion. Dr. Mahua Verma, Principal Chief Personnel Officer, S.E.Railway also attended the programme.
In the Rozgar Mela held at Ranchi, Shri Arjun Munda, Hon’ble Minister of Tribal Affairs, Government of India was the Chief Guest. Other dignitaries present on the occasion were Shri Sanjay Seth, Shri Sudershan Bhagat, Hon’ble MP, Hon’ble MP, Shri Deepak Prakash, Hon’ble MP, Shri Aditya Prasad, Hon’ble MP, Shri Babulal Marandi, former Chief Minister of Jharkhand and Hon’ble MLA, Shri C.P.Singh Hon’ble MLA & Shri Sammari Lal, Hon’ble MLA.
Total 249 appointment letters were handed over to newly inducted recruits at Ranchi in different organisations like Railways, Banks, CPRF, Postal, CISF, GSI, ESIC, BSF, Ministry of Housing etc. Shri Pradeep Gupta, Divisional Railway Manager, Ranchi welcomed the distinguished guests and the new appointees on the occasion.
As per the directions of the Prime Minister, all Ministries and Departments are working towards filling up existing vacancies against sanctioned posts in Mission Mode.
