Chaibasa (Jharkhand): A hard-core CPI (Maoists) evading arrest for last six years was on Sunday arrested from Jetia in naxal-affected West Singhbhum district.
The arrest was made when the ultra Kishan Kerai alias Dukre Kerai alias Kishan Dukre (22) visited his family in Sukdipada under Jetia police station yesterday to celebrate Maghe porob.
Superintendent of Police Ashutosh Shekhar had the tip off about Kishan’s visit to his native village and sent an armed police team headed by Jetia police station Officer-in-Charge Bipin Chandra Mahato.
The police team cordoned off Kishan’s house before conducting raid and arrested him, police said.

Kishan confessed all his crime committed as a member of the Maoists squad.
Three cases under various sections of IPC, CLA Act, Arms Act, Explosive Act and UAP Act with Gua police station.
He was evading arrest after a case under sections 147/148/149/452/302/201 IPC, Section 27 of Arms Act and 17 CLA Act had been registered with Jetia police station on 8th October, 2017.
