Deoghar (Jharkhand): Four persons including a couple were arrested allegedly for hanging a man after he was done to death over illicit relation with a woman in Raghuadih village under Khaga police station of Deoghar district on Monday, police today said.
The arrest were made after a body of a 25-year-old Kurban Ansari was found in the house of Praful Mandal in Raghuadih village on the night of 11th March last.
The victim’s family accused that Ansari was assaulted and killed by the family members of Praful Mandal as the victim and Praful’s wife were having illicit relationship.
After committing the crime, they alleged the body of Ansari was hanged to give it a shape of suicide.
Ansari’s family members have registered a case in this connection, police said.
In a swift action, police arrested Gunadhar Mandal, Gunadhar Mandal’s wife Laxmi Kumari, Kartik Mandal and Pradip Mandal, all residents of Raghuadih.
All the accused have been sent to judicial custody.
