Jamshedpur: Tata Steel InnoVista Apex Recognition Programme was organised on Wednesday (July 20) at the Steelennium Hall, Tata Steel Jamshedpur plant to recognise Tata Steel InnoVista projects of 2022 and Tata Ideas Ideators.
This year total 368 projects were logged under 5 different innovation categories–Sustainability, Dare to Try, Design Honour, Piloted Technologies & Implemented Innovation. Out of these, top 18 projects were selected in the Apex level assessment & were recognised today by Chief Guest Avneesh Gupta, Vice President Total Quality Management and Engineering & Projects and by Guest of Honour, Dr Debasish Bhattacharjee, Vice President Technology & New Materials Business.
Along with the InnoVista Projects, 10 budding Tata Idea’s Ideators were also recognised for their contribution towards solving different challenges hosted by various group companies. The awards were distributed by Guest of Honour, Ravi Arora, Vice President Group Innovations, Tata Sons. A compendium ‘Innovation Stories”, capturing all the innovation stories of Tata Steel of the past 15 years was also released by the dignitaries on the occasion.
Avneesh Gupta and Dr. Debashish Bhattacharjee addressed the gathering and expressed their thought on need of technology lead and breakthrough innovation in current business environment. Ravi Arora shared his thought on open innovation and put thrust on more and more participation in these forums.
