Jamshedpur: The district administration of East Singhbhum has begun preparation to conduct Jharkhand board and intermediate examinations commencing from 14th March.
The Jharkhand Board’s matric (10th) examination will start from 14th March to 3rd April while the intermediate (12th) examination commencing on 14th March would continue till 5th March.
A meeting in this regard was held in the district collectorate in Jamshedpur on Thursday.
While 26237 students will appear for the 10th final examination, 24702 examinees will take Intermediate examination to be conducted by Jharkhand Academic Council (JAC).
Deputy Commissioner Vijaya Jadhav, who Chaired the meeting, issued necessary instructions to concerned officials to ensure free and fair examination.
Among other, Superintendent of Police (Rural) Mukesh Lunayat, Sub-Divisional Officer (Dhalbhum) Piyush Sinha, ADM (L&O) Dipu Kumar, Sub-Divisional Officer (Ghatsila) Satvir Rajak, District Education Officer (DEO) Smt. Nirmala Barelia, District Public Relation Officer Rohit Kumar, District Superintendent of Education Nishu Kumari and all Block Development Officers and Circle Officers, SDO (Education) Ashish Pandey and Superintendent of Centres, Dhalbhum Sub-Division were present in the meeting.
46 Zonal magistrates and 101 statics magistrates along with adequate police force have been deputed to ensure the examinations to be held successfully.
DEO has shared the guidelines issued by JAC.
Jadhav has also emphasised for cent per cent implementation of instructions issued by JAC board.
In Dhalbhum Sub-Divisional, 10th board examination will be held in 47 examination centres and Intermediate examination in 19 centres whereas 25 examination centres will conduct 10th board examination and 10 centres will take Intermediate examinination in Ghatsila Sub-Division.
The first sitting of the examinations will commence from 10.00 AM to 01.00 PM for 10th Board while 2nd sitting will start from 02.00 PM to 05.00 PM for Intermediate.
Deputy Commissioner Jadhav has directed the officials that no unfair means in the examination should be reported from any part of the district at any cost and warned to initiate stringent action if found cheating in the exams.
She said the Static and patrolling magistrates should make sure that the examination will be free of malpractices and as per guidelines issued by JAC board. Besides, the officials and employees engaged in examination centres should carry their identity card and unauthorised entry in examination centres should not be allowed. She warned of stringent action against persons violating the guidelines.
Considering the prevailing heat condition, DC directed to make arrangement for drinking water and ORS.
In case of any problem regarding bench desk, toilet, electricity, drinking water etc, Jadhav said BEEO should be contacted to resolve the problems in time.
