Jamshedpur: The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) on Thursday caught a Junior Engineer red-handed while accepting bribe in Bodam under Bodam police station on Thursday.
ACB sleuths laid a trap and arrested the Junior Engineer Sujit Kumar Rana while accepting Rs.15000/-bribe from a self-help group for passing a bill.
The Self-help Group has registered complaint with the ACB after Rana demanded bribe to clear a bill against the construction of a ghat for bathing near pond in Telidih village under Madhavpur panchayat.
On verification, ACB found the charges true and registered a case.
Accordingly, ACB team laid a trap and arrested Rana in his office premises while accepting bribe from members of Self-Help Group.
