Jamshedpur: Congress Party’s Jharkhand in-charge Avinash Pande is schedule to visit the steel city on April 7 to participate in party’s proposed “Jai Bharat Satyagraha Yatra” on April 8.
In view of the proposed visit of Pande, East Singhbhum District Congress Committee (DCC) held a meeting under the leadership of DCC President Anand Bihari Dubey in Tilak Pustkalay here today.
The district In-charge of the party Baljit Singh Bedi announced that State Congress party In-Charge Pande will arrive in the steel city here on the night of 7th April.
The meeting was convened in connection with the proposed Jai Bharat Satyagraha Yatra to be organized in large scale from 8th April at 10.00 AM, Bedi said.
Pande was likely to take part in the yatra.
Bedi called on DCC, state unit officials and representatives living in the district, senior Congress leaders, Block President and Block Committee representatives, Mahila Congress, Youth Congress, Student wing of the party, Sevak Dal, INTUC, OBC/Schedule Tribe cells, Minority Cell, Adivasi Congress, Legal cell, Farmer cell, unorganized sector and other cells were urged to take part in the yatra in large number.
Bedi said it is a matter of pride for the district as Pande will be visiting the city for the first time carrying the message of Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and AICC President Mallikarjun Kharge.
Pande will apprise the party leaders including JPCC President Rajesh Thakur, Jharkhand Minister Banna Gupta, former Presidents, ex-Parliamentarians about the proposed agitation and programmes.
Bedi has issued necessary direction to complete the ongoing preparation and began process to form committees to welcome the guest, publicity,organization committee etc.
He also asked party workers and leaders to come forward to provide voluntary service during the event.
The route of Pande’s arrival will be from Pardih to Circuit House on 7th April night and massive programme on 8th April.
DCC President Dubey direct the Block committees, Mandal Committees, Panchayat heads as well as all party workers should take part in the programme in large number.
We have to move forward targeting the 2024 poll, he said.
