Jamshedpur: The Deputy Commissioner of East Singhbhum district, Vijaya Jadhav on Saturday appealed that the anamolies related to Public Distribution System (PDS) dealers should be brought to the notice of concerned district officials for appropriate action against them.
She urged the people to lodge complain against the PDS dealers if they were found indulged in irregularities such as distribution of less quantity of foodgrain, taking thumb impression for several times, short of stock etc.
DC said the people also inform the concerned officials if they found PDS shops close, not opening the shops regularly, supply of poor quality of foodgrain, misconduct of PDS dealer with consumers, if PDS dealers kept the ration card of beneficiary with them or in case of possible black marketing of foidgrain.
Such anamolies should be brought to the notice of district officials immediately for necessary action against the erring PDS dealer.
Jadhav said we will probe such incidents during inspection of PDS shops and ensure action against the dealer if found guilty.
DC urged the people to first complain such irregularities with concerned Block Development Officer or District Supply Officer.
