Jamshedpur: Anticipating the possibility of drinking water scarcity in the district during summer, a district-level special team has been constituted on the directive of the Deputy Commissioner of East Singhbhum district Vijaya Jadhav to address the problem.
The special team will be dedicated to resolve drinking water issues while separate teams has also been formed at Municipal level across steel city of Jamshedpur, an official statement here on Wednesday said.
A control room (ph.no. 0657-3560557) set up by Divisional Drinking water and sanitation department to resolve the drinking water issue on receiving complaints.
Jadhav said a special dedicated team has been formed in the district to address the drinking water problem during scorching heat of summer season, which has already set in.
Besides, she said, separate teams at all municipality level was also been formed for the purpose.
The Drinking water and sanitation division has set up a control room, where people can register complain on phone no.0657-3560557 between 08.00 Am to 08.00 PM for solution related to drinking water.
Considering the prevailing hot condition, Jadhav said a drive has been launched to rectify all unfunctional tube wells in the district.
