Jamshedpur: Jamshedpur Notified Area Committee (JNAC) on Wednesday initiated action against vendors selling petrol in bottles in the open as well as encroaching roads to store construction materials in the city.
On the directive of the Special Officer Sanjay Kumar, JNAC officials conducted raids in various places of the city and seized 22 petrol-filled liquor bottles, which were being sold in the open.
Besides, the officials also seized construction materials such as stone chips, bricks, sand stored on road side in different areas.
They have penalized them and collected altogether Rs.42,300/- from 12 persons in this regard.
