Jamshedpur। A major fire on Monday has broken out in posh Circuit House area, creating panic among the local residents.
Five fire-fighters from Tata Steel and the government were pressed into service to douse the flames emanating from a cable godown.
The flames was so vigorous that it was visible from a distance, eyewitnesses said.
An operation to douse the fire was launched by fire brigade personnel from Tata Steel and government fire brigade department and it was brought under control after an hour,an official said.
No loss of life, however, reported in the incident.
Police officials from Sonari and Bistupur police stations were also rushed to the spot on being informed of the incident.
The exact cause of fire was not yet been ascertained while the loss of property was being assessed, sources said.
