Jamshedpur: Six hundred ninetysix beneficiaries were alloted houses under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (urban) (PMAY) phase III in Birsanagar through lottery today.
Total 9592 affordable houses under PMAY was to be constructed under the supervision of Jamshedpur Notified Area Committee (JNAC).
The G+8 story housing project will have 32 blocks with total 9592 units.
In the third phase of the project, total 696 beneficiaries including 65 senior citizens and divyang were alloted houses through randomization electronic lottery process held in Birsa Munda Town Hall here.
The randomization lottery was conducted by a committee headed by East Singhbhum Deputy Commissioner Vijaya Jadhav.
Of the 696 beneficiaries, 65 units were alloted to senior citizens and diyang in ground floor while the rest 631 persons were alloted houses between 1st to 6th floor of the building.
The representative of local BJP MP Bidyut Baran Mahato, MLA, representative of East Jamshedpur MLA, Director DRDA, East Singhbhum, Additional District Magistrate of the district, Special Officer of JNAC, Experts PMAY-U were among others present on the occasion.
The beneficiaries expressed happiness following the allotment.
