Jamshedpur: A former President Central Gurdwara Prabandhak committee (CGPC) Gurmukh Singh Mukhe was arrested from a hospital in Baridih locality under Sidgora police station of Jamshedpur today.
Mukhe, who was evading arrest for last five months, was arrested when he was under-going treatment in the hospital with fake name, police said.
In an attempt to conceal his identity, Mukhe has unloose his hair to give him a different look.
Senior Superintendent of Police (East Singhbhum district), Prabhat Kumar had a rip-off about Mukhe, which led to his arrest.
Following the arrest, police took him to Kadma police station, where a sikh woman had registered a rape case against him.
Later, Mukhe was forwarded to judicial custody.
In her FIR, the victim woman had allegeded that Mukhe had raped her and also committee unnatural sex at gun point when she approached him for a help.
Mukhe had assured to extend all possible help and reached her house in Kadma, where he committee the crime.
The victim woman’s minor son was at home when the incident occurred while her husband was working abroad.
The victim had also produce of the crime committed by Mukhe to police.
Mukhe did not even get any relief from the higher court and police has pasted poster at his door for property attachment couple of months ago.
