Jamshedpur: Adequate security arrangement has been made to maintain law and order during Ramnavami festival in the East Singhbhum district.
All precautionary measures have been taken to meet any eventuality during the ensuing festival, which will conclude on the last day of the month.
The district police have launched a massive vehicle checking drive across the steel city of Jamshedpur and 42 vehicles seized for committing stunt on roads, rash driving, fixing modified silencer on Sunday, an official statement said.
Police also penalized 383 vehicle owners/drivers and collected Rs.58,500/- fine.
Action against 22 vehicles were taken for fitting modified silencer.
While Bistupur police initiated action against 108 vehicles, 55 vehicle owners were penalized by Sakchi police station, against 100 vehicles under Jugsalai police station and 70 vehicle owners were fined by Golmuri traffic police.
