Jamshedpur A 26-year-old youth committed suicide by hanging in his residence near the Sector Market under Telco police station jurisdiction on Monday night.
The victim identified as Rohit Kumar was stated to be the son of Shiv Kumar, who happens to be the Personal Secretary of Union Tribal Affair Minister Arjun Munda.
The incident came to fore only when the family members found his room closed from inside till late Tuesday morning and did not get any response to their repeated knock at the door.
The family members with the help of local residents broke open the door only to find Rohit hanging.
A police team reached the spot on being informed of the incident and recovered the body, which was sent for post-mortem at MGM hospital.
The exact reason behind the incident could not yet been ascertained, police said.
On return home from work last night, Shiv Kumar alonwith family members went to sleep after having dinner. Rohit too has gone to sleep in other room, where he took extreme step to end his life last night.
Police investigation in this regard was on, police said.
