Jamshedpur: Union Minister for Road Transport and National Highway, Nitin Gadkari will inaugurate and lay foundations of ten road projects worth over Rs.3800 crores.
The minister will dedicate a 44 kms four-lane National Highway between Jamshedpur-Mahulia section of Ranchi-Mahulia National Highway during his visit to the steel city of Jamshedpur tomorrow.
Jamshedpur-Mahulia section of the Ranchi-Mahulia Highway was developed at a cost of Rs.465 crores.
Besides, the minister also lay foundation of nine road projects including a 10 kms long elevated double decker corridor between Pardih Kali Mandir-Dimna Chowk-Baliguma on NH33.
The elevated double decker corridor will be constructed at a cost of Rs.1876 crores.
Among other, The minister will lay foundation online of a road on National Highway 320G between Manoharpur-Bano-Kolebira. The 78 kms long road will be built at a cost of Rs.514 crores, 24 kms road on National Highway 33 between Phuldungri-Jhatijharna via Burudih at a cost of Rs.105 crores and a rail over bridge on National Highway 75E in Talaburu at cost of Rs.98 crores.
He will also lay foundation of another rail over bridge on NH75E at Bistampur. It will be constructed at a cost of Rs.92 crores.
The foundation of a 41 kms road on NH 320G between Hatgamariah-Jagannathpur-Noamundi-Bokna will also be laid online by Gadkari during his visit on Thursday. It will be built at an investment of Rs.423 crores and a rail over bridge at Eligada on NH 75E will be developed at a cost of Rs.100 crores.
The foundation of another rail over bridge of two kilometers to be laid by the minister on NH75E at Jodapokhar, which will be built at an investment of Rs.97 crores.
A 22 kms road between Bhuiyansisan to Sushni via Haathikheda will also be constructed at a cost of Rs.74 crores.
Meanwhile, East Singhbhum district Deputy Commissioner Vijaya Jadhav and Senior Superintendent of Police Prabhat Kumar inspected the venue at Gopal maidan on Tuesday and issued necessary instructions to officials concerned.
The administration also briefed up security arrangement in view of the Union Minister’s visit.
A host of leaders including Union Minister of State for Road Transport, National Highway and Civil Aviation Gen (Retd) V K Singh, Opposition leader and former Jharkhand Chief Minister Babulal Marandi, National Vice-President of BJP and former Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghubar Das, Jharkhand Water and Sanitation Minister Mithilesh Thakur, Jharkhand Minister for Women, Child Development and Social Welfare Smt. Joba Manjhi, Jharkhand Health and Disaster Management Minister Banna Gupta, BJP Jharkhand unit President Deepak Prakash, Members of Parliament Bidyut Baran Mahato (Jamshedpur), Mrs.Geeta Koda (Singhbhum) and Sanjay Seth (Ranchi), besides host of MLAs will likely to take part in the programme.
