Ranchi: Director General of Police, Jharkhand Ajay Kumar Singh on Saturday directed the senior officials to initiate stringent action against organized crime in the state.
DGP appreciated all Regional Inspector General of Police, Deputy Inspector General of Police, Senior Superintendent of Police and Superintendent of Police for maintaining peace and tranquility during recent festivals in the state.
DGP also had a district-wise review meeting in regard with crime control and law and order.
In the meeting, DGP has instructed all Regional IGs, DIGs, SSP and SPs of Jharkhand to initiate action against organized criminal gangs, arresting organized criminal gang members at large to check the criminal activities across the state.
He also stressed the need to control cyber crime and identifying the hotspots of cyber crime for speedy action. Besides, DGP also asked the officials to create awareness among the masses to ensure that they did not fall prey to cyber crime.
DGP also reviewed district-wise cases including murder, dacoity, loot, burglary, theft, arms act, extortion by organized criminal gang, POCSO Act and directed to put rein on such incidents.
He also emphasised the need for disposal of pending cases.
DGP asked for speedy disposal of cases pending for last over five years and ensure disposal of more cases than cases being registered every month.
Singh also directed the official to trace missing victims of human trafficking and complete control over drug smuglings in the state.
To derive an effective results in regard with human trafficking, DGP suggested to create awareness among rural themasses.
Among other, DG (CID) Anurag Gupta, ADG (Ops) Sanjay Anandrao Lathkar, IG (HR) Akhilesh Kumar Jha, IG (Ops) Amol Vinukant Hokar, IG (CID) Aseem Vikrant Minz, IG (Palamu) Raj Kumar Lakra, DIG (Hazaribag) Narendra Kumar, DIG (Dumka) Sudarshan Prasad Mandal, DIG (Bokaro) Kanhaiya Mayur Patel, DIG (Kolhan) Ajay Linda and Senior Superintendent of Police and Superintendent of Police of all districts participated in the meeting.
