Jamshedpur: Superintendent of Police (Railway, Taranagar) chalked out action plan to rein over criminals, drug peddlers and illegal mining soon after he took over additional charge of Seraikela-Kharswan district on Monday.
Jha issued a strict warning to criminals to mend their ways or face the consequences.
No illegal activities or trading will be allowed in the district, SP warned adding that the police would initiate action itself under a plan against illegal sand mining, if it come to the notice of the district police.
Referring illegal trade of drugs, he said the focus of the police would be to check increasing addiction of brown sugar and narcotics in Adityapur and take action under a plan.
Police would also ensure peaceful conduct of Holi and Ramnavami festivals and iron out strategy with police officials.
Police has intensified patrolling in the district to maintain law and order, SP (In-charge) said.
