Seraikela (Jharkhand): A 31-year-old man hanged himself to death allegedly after his discarded him in Tamolia under Kapali outpost police station of Seraikela-Kharswan district today, police said.
The victim Ajay Kumar, a daily wager but currently sitting idle, was found hanging in a room of his house near a Durga mandir in Bari tola in Tamolia.
When the repeated knock at the door went unresponded, family members with the help of neighbours broke open the door today morning only to find Ajay hanging with a saree.
Police, who was informed immediately, has recovered the body and sent it for post-mortem.
Ajay was third among four brothers. His younger brother is working in Bengaluru while his two elder brothers died some time back.
Ajay was living with his parents.
According to locals, Ajay was a married but his wife has left him and got married with another man.
He, a diabete, was under depression ever since his wife discarded.
Though the reason behind the incident could yet been ascertained but Police has begun investigation to unearth the real cause behind the suicide.
