Ranchi: An Indian Police Service (IPS) officer of 1989 batch Ajay Kumar Singh has been appointed as the new Director General of Police (DGP) of Jharkhand.
A notification in this regard was issued on Tuesday.
Singh’s appointment as State Police Chief following the retirement of Neeraj Sinha as DGP on February 11.
As per the notification issues by Department of Home, Prison and Diaster Management, Singh was chairman-cum-managing director of Jharkhand Police Housing Corporation Ltd and was also holding charge of DG, Anti Corruption Bureau, Jharkhand.
