Seraikela (Jharkhand): In a tragic incident, three persons were crushed to death while one other person critically injured in a road mishap at Jariadih village on National Highway 33 under Chandil police station of Seraikela-Kharswan district early hours of Tuesday.
The victims were all travelling a car and on their way back to Chandil from a marriage party in Kanderbeda when an unidentified vehicle hit them, police said.
Four persons on the car sustained critical injury and were shifted to MGM hospital in Jamshedpur.
Three of the injured, however, succumbed to injuries on reaching the hospital while one person was admitted, where he was undergoing treatment.
The deceased have been identified as Siburam Mardi, Bablu Soren and Sagun Tudu, all residents of Pata village under Chandil police station. The injured was identified as Vilom Hansdah.
Following the incident, Chandil police removed them to MGM Hospital in an ambulance but three of them died in course of treatment.
Police has registered a case against an unidentified vehicle on the statement of Lakhiram, the brother of deceased Siburam.
The car was badly damaged under the impact of the collision.
