Seraikela (Jharkhand): Union Minister for Tribal Affairs Arjun Munda handed over appointment letters to over 5000 tribal youths at Job fair “Kaushal Mahotsav” at a function held in Kashi Sahu College campus in Seraikela-Kharswan district on Saturday.
Automotive Skill Development Council (ASDC) has successfully organized the Apprenticeship rojgar mela, which was inaugurated by the Union Tribal Affair Minister.
Additional Secretary of Tribal Ministry R Jaya and Seraikela-Kharswan district Deputy Commissioner Arva Rajkamal, ASDC CEO Arindam Lahiri and other officials were also present on the occasion.
Tribal youths in large number participated in the job fair, where 11 companies offered jobs to over 5000 youths with good salary.
The mega job fair was a excellent example of Public-Private partnership, where prominent automobile companies offered two-wheeler and four-wheeler related mechanical jobs to tribal youths.
Congratulating the job recipients, Munda said ministry of tribal affairs, Skill development, Industry ministry, ASDC, NSDC, NCVET have given a new dimension to livelihood mission.
The endeavor would continue in the future as well to provide employments to youths in education, health and technology sectors, the minister assured.
Munda said the union government under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi was working sincerely for the welfare of poor, dalits, oppressive, deprived sections of the society, besides backward, women and youths.
Additional Secretary R Jaya said job fair was an opportunity for adivasi youths of Jharkhand and automotive sectors as they both got a platform. Youths can make their future by developing their skill, additional secretary said assuring all possible assistance from the ministry.
Expressing happiness over the success of job fair, ASDC CEO Lahiri said ASDC was committed to provide opportunity for skill development to the youths of the state.
The youths would be trained for automotive sector through its training partner.
Extending her gratitude on receiving the appointment letter, Nupur Mukhi hailed the training provided by ASDC, which helped her get job in automotive sector. The job fair has open doors for the future, she added.
