Seraikela: A cyclist was on Thursday crushed to death under the wheels of a speeding oil tanker near Sadar Hospital in Seraikela of Seraikela-Kharswan district.
The victim was on his way to market on a bicycle when he was hit by the tanker.
The identity of the victim could not yet been established as his head was badly crushed under the wheels of the heavy vehicle.
A police team rushed to the spot and collected the body parts split on the road and sent it for post-mortem.
Police also gave a hot chase and impounded the tanker near Birsa Chowk
