Ranchi: A ticket examiner of Ranchi division ) and a special ticket checking staff of Kharagpur division of South Eastern Railway (SER) have collected over Rupees one crore each as penalty from passengers during the current financial year (upto 26th March, 2023)
Pintu Das, Special Ticket Checking Staff of Kharagpur Division and Piyush Kumar, Ticket Examiner of Ranchi Division of SER have collected more than Rs. 1 crore each as penalty from ticket checking till 26th March during the current financial year.
Das and Kumar have achieved the individual feat of revenue collection of Rs. 1 crore from ticketless or irregular travelling cases.
This is the 1st time ever when ticket checking staff of SER individually collected over Rs 1 crore.
Das has collected Rs. 1 crore by detecting 11,861 irregular travelling cases while Kumar has collected Rs. 1.02 crore from 11,657 cases for achieving this remarkable performance during the period.
They have been felicitated by the Commercial Department of SER for their dedication, hardwork and devotion to duty.
