This Prasuti Pratikshalay in Bandgaon follows the first two inaugurated in Dumaria and Kuchai earlier in the financial year. Tata Steel Foundation, along with its knowledge and technical partners, envisions enhancing maternal health services for rural communities through accommodation, medicines and nourishment for expectant mothers. The facility enables them to wait for referral to the nearby Community Healthcare Centre (CHC) for delivery and offers post-delivery guidance and supervision.
This initiative signifies Tata Steel Foundation’s concerted effort to make a positive impact on healthcare in remote areas and delivering essential maternal care to the last mile person. Healthcare innovations like Prasuti Pratikshalay, hopes to instil a health-seeking behaviour in the rural landscape.
